Guide structure and rationale
Definition - "A style guide serves as a basis for development and is a collection of principles, guidelines and conventions brought together in a single medium to define a unified look and feel for products and services"1
Why is this style guide important?
This style guide is intended to help people create usable, useful, high quality web sites and content at the University of Melbourne.
The University web templates provide a base level of quality for both visual and technical aspects of web design - this guide is intended to both help people use these templates but to also provide advice on all other factors that lead to quality web content.
